That is what our house has been for the past TWO weeks! It started on a Saturday night, when Aidan woke up in the middle of the night and threw up. On Sunday he was chained to the toilet all morning, but then he seemed fine. That night, he threw up 10 times (from 2 til 4, he threw up six times), and Brennan threw up, too. Monday night Brennan took his turn to throw up all night. Aidan seemed to be over it and then Wednesday night they both decided to get us. We were exhausted! One kid on one side of the bed, and the other on the other side of the bed. Two pots to catch the stomach acid, because by that time, they had nothing in them. But then during the day they seemed fine. We even ventured out to the zoo on Friday, with just a few stops for a toilet... Friday afternoon they all played and ran around (the one day we had nice weather) and so we felt fine about going to a family party. Wrong. Aidan took one bite of a hot dog, and then spewed all over grandma and grandpas carpet. (I used a Bissell Spot Lifter machine thing---such a nice little machine!). Saturday morning Weston threw up and then again in the afternoon. Sunday we all stayed home from church and everyone was feeling great. I again, thought we were over it. But there were still a few toilet stops, and then on Tuesday night Aidan threw up AGAIN! He spent an hour and a half spewing--once every 15 minutes. He then broke out in a huge rash/hives, which they say comes at the END of the virus, and yesterday he announced that he had a hard poo. Yeah! The rash looked horrid though--blotchy and itchy. Brennan took his turn on throwing up all night on Wednesday night. He is again chained to the toilet. Argh! I would guess there have been over 100 upchucks, 12 loads of laundry (not counting normal laundry) and 5 times poop has been cleaned up off the FLOOR (not counting the times cleaned out of pants).
We are off track which is great cause they are not missing days and days of school, but we are going stir crazy! Nothing to do inside the house and the weather is stinky and we can't go anywhere to infect others! We've eaten close to nothing, but drank lots of gatorade--and a wonderful friend brought over 2 bottles of Ginger Ale--what a gift!
It has been horrid. Never want this again. Ever. Ever.
