We thought summer was on the way, but the sun still isn't shining! We have had lots of rain, and threats of flooding, though I don't believe we will be affected at all. But the sky has been pretty!
And the tulips, too. Scott loves to garden and he does such a great job! Because of the crazy winter our roses died! But we have already planted all our veggies and we should have a good crop this year.

Vomitorium
That is what our house has been for the past TWO weeks! It started on a Saturday night, when Aidan woke up in the middle of the night and threw up. On Sunday he was chained to the toilet all morning, but then he seemed fine. That night, he threw up 10 times (from 2 til 4, he threw up six times), and Brennan threw up, too. Monday night Brennan took his turn to throw up all night. Aidan seemed to be over it and then Wednesday night they both decided to get us. We were exhausted! One kid on one side of the bed, and the other on the other side of the bed. Two pots to catch the stomach acid, because by that time, they had nothing in them. But then during the day they seemed fine. We even ventured out to the zoo on Friday, with just a few stops for a toilet... Friday afternoon they all played and ran around (the one day we had nice weather) and so we felt fine about going to a family party. Wrong. Aidan took one bite of a hot dog, and then spewed all over grandma and grandpas carpet. (I used a Bissell Spot Lifter machine thing---such a nice little machine!). Saturday morning Weston threw up and then again in the afternoon. Sunday we all stayed home from church and everyone was feeling great. I again, thought we were over it. But there were still a few toilet stops, and then on Tuesday night Aidan threw up AGAIN! He spent an hour and a half spewing--once every 15 minutes. He then broke out in a huge rash/hives, which they say comes at the END of the virus, and yesterday he announced that he had a hard poo. Yeah! The rash looked horrid though--blotchy and itchy. Brennan took his turn on throwing up all night on Wednesday night. He is again chained to the toilet. Argh! I would guess there have been over 100 upchucks, 12 loads of laundry (not counting normal laundry) and 5 times poop has been cleaned up off the FLOOR (not counting the times cleaned out of pants).
We are off track which is great cause they are not missing days and days of school, but we are going stir crazy! Nothing to do inside the house and the weather is stinky and we can't go anywhere to infect others! We've eaten close to nothing, but drank lots of gatorade--and a wonderful friend brought over 2 bottles of Ginger Ale--what a gift!
It has been horrid. Never want this again. Ever. Ever.

Princess Elise
I love having a girl! She is so much fun. I'll just post all these cute photos of her so you will all get your happiness fix for the day!
Aidan's Music Recital
I have talked about Aidan's music class before and I love it. I can't say anything bad about it and could go on and on about how great it is. He had his end of the year recital in April and it was fabulous. Scott's parents came and so did Aidan's Kindergarten teacher. He really wanted to invite her and was so excited when she came. (She is a GREAT teacher!)
He is excited to move on to Green Turtle next year!

April's Happenings
The kids have been having some crazy fun this month. They had a friend over the other day and brought down TONS of toys from the toy room down to our living room and then made a very organized mess! Elise joined in the fun.
Weston is such a wonderful big helper. He loves taking care of Elise. They are close buddies. He is getting closer to his baptism (daily I hear how many days til he gets baptized!). He has just finished Fourth Nephi, so he will accomplish his goal of reading the Book of Mormon before his 8th birthday!
He has learned how to gallop with his hands and he has not stopped galloping since. If he isn't singing, he is galloping, and sometimes he is doing both!
Weston has been busy at school with fieldtrips (one to the Energy Solutions Arena--where the Jazz play) and some reports. We will tell about those next month.
Brennan has started playing with some nieghborhood friends and he got invited to his first friend birthday party. He was so excited he fell asleep with the invitation clutched in his hand!
Aidan has hit the 100th day of Kindergarten and they had a big celebration. He lives for parties! He came home from school saying it was the best day ever.

Brennan has been saying some funny things, too. The other day he said his belly hurt. Here is the conversation:
B: Mom, those things in my belly hurt.
Me: What things? Your muscles?
B: no, those things that are hard.
Me: Your bones?
B: Yes, the bones in my belly hurt.
He was talking about what he wants to be when he grows up and he said, "A fire truck". Good luck with that big boy!
Aidan was the star of the week, which meant he got to display a poster all about himself, do special things in the class, and share a treat (he chose jellybeans, he says they are his favorite). Later I did a "Fairy Tale Friday" for his class and taught them about Jack and the beanstalk. We planted beans and they got a bag of "Magic Beans" (more jelly beans) to eat!
